(Unless otherwise stated, definitions used in this announcement shall carry the same meanings as defined in the announcement dated 3 January 2023) Reference is made to the Company's announcement on 3 January 2023 in relation to the Acceptance of Letter of Award from Regas Terminal (Lahad Datu) Sdn. Bhd. ("RGTLD") by KABEH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company. The Board of Directors of KAB is pleased to announce that KABEH had signed a Share Sales and Purchase Agreement with PGB to acquire a ten per centum (10%) stake in RGTLD, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PETRONAS Gas Berhad ("PGB"), and had signed a Shareholders Agreement with PGB to assume the role of technical partner in the joint venture with PGB, to co-own and undertake an earlier announced RM230 million power plant project in Sabah, which will be the sole energy supplier to PETRONAS's nearshore floating liquified natural gas facility. The announcement is dated 14 February 2023. |
